One price, once a year
A single annual licence per school. Never per conversation and never per seat, so nobody in your school has to think about the cost of asking.
Pricing
Never per conversation — you should never have to ration the thing you are paying for. The tier depends on the size and type of your school, so the price is the same for every school like yours.
Talk to us| Your school | Per year | Included |
|---|---|---|
| Day school — up to 600 pupils | £6,000 | Up to 1,500 conversations a year |
| Senior or large day school — 600 pupils and above | £9,000 | Up to 4,000 conversations a year |
| Boarding or international — any size | £12,000 | Unlimited conversations · English and Arabic |
| Groups and federations — two schools or more | Per campus | Talk to us |
Plus a one-off £750 to build your knowledge base with you, put it in front of your staff for approval, and install it.
Average independent day fees are around £22,000 a year and boarding around £42,500 (ISC, 2025/26) — so a single additional enrolled family covers the subscription many times over.
Why the tiers look like this
A single annual licence per school. Never per conversation and never per seat, so nobody in your school has to think about the cost of asking.
Pupil numbers and boarding status decide it. Two heads comparing notes see the same published reason for the difference between them, and nobody is asked about their budget to find out their price.
Not what a chatbot costs. One additional enrolled family is worth many times the licence, and enrolment is what the assistant is there to protect.
In every tier
The tiers differ by the size of the school and the volume it brings, not by which features you are allowed.
One line of code. She answers questions in writing or out loud, in the language the family writes in, on every page.
Your knowledge base, edited by your staff. Every change is a draft until a person signs it off, and she never invents a fee, a place or a promise.
Enquiry capture, callback requests, visit booking against your slots, and acknowledgements drafted and sent with the right person notified.
Every conversation summarised, families ranked by how serious they look, transcripts in full, and the questions your website is not answering.
Her name, your colours, your photograph and your tone of voice. Staff logins with roles, for as many of your team as need them.
We build the first knowledge base from your prospectus and website, walk your team through approving it, and install it. That is the one-off £750.
The commercial detail
Annually, per school, by invoice. Card payment is available if you prefer. We will add self-service card checkout later; today every school is set up by us, which also means the knowledge base is right before you go live.
Yes — one-off, £750. It covers building your knowledge base with you from your prospectus and website, putting it in front of your staff for approval, and installing the assistant on your site.
No. You pay one annual price, and each tier includes the conversation allowance shown in the table above. If you go past it we will not bill you for it and we will not switch her off — that would cost you the enrolments she is there to protect. We tell you when you reach 80% of your allowance, and if you finish the year above your tier you move up at renewal.
Twelve months from go-live, and it does not renew automatically — we agree the next year with you before it starts. If it is not working for you, tell us: we would rather fix it or let you go than hold you to a tool your team has stopped using.
Your roll and whether you board decide it, so you can read it off the table above. If you are on the line — a day school of exactly 600, say — tell us your numbers and we will confirm it in writing before you commit.
Groups and federations are priced per campus, which needs a conversation rather than a table. Write to hello@elmeducation.org and it will reach Phil Lupton directly.
Your roll, whether you board, and where families come from. That is enough to confirm your tier.
